    2005
    Awarded Anne K. Allison Prize in the 65th Annual Juried Show at Woodmere Art
    Museum for etching “Tree Garden”.

    2004
    Nominated for Bess Lomax Hawes Award - Best presentation of folk and
    traditional art.

    Received appreciation by President of the United States George W. Bush.  The
    White House, Washington D.C.

    2000
    Published in “Who’s Who” Directory of 20th Century Georgian Artists.

    First Prize - Works on Paper, Juried Exhibition, Doylestown, PA.

    Cathedral of Holy Protection, NY performed a play based solely on an
    illustrated book by Niko Chocheli  “Prepare O Bethlehem”-.  

    1999
    Granted an appointment to meet His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos
    Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II at the Patriarchate near Sioni Cathedral in Tbilisi,
    Georgia.  

    Received appreciation and a special blessing for his Artistic Achievements.

    Received an offer to participate in Beautification (Mural Painting) of the newly
    constructed Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi, Georgia, one of the largest
    cathedrals in the world.

    1998 – 1994
    Awarded a trip to Paris from Salon du Livre de Jeunesse, Paris, France to
    participate in illustration exhibition and meet publishing houses.

    1995
    U.S. Citizenship - Alien of Extraordinary Abilities.

    First Prize Group Exhibition “Culture and Art of France”.  Tbilisi, Georgia

    Awarded First Prize for Pencil Drawing by Gallery of Modern Art, Tbilisi, Georgia

    First Place Award Azerbaijan Ministry of Education Art Competition of the
    Caucasian Republics.

    1975 - 1983
    Awarded Gold Medal and First Prize three times and received First Place
    Awards for seven consecutive years in the Republic of Georgia Competition of
    Theater and Art.

    Granted an art review of Moscow, Russia by government invitation.  Appeared at
    the Moscow Central Information Program “Vremia”.

    Three Gold Medals and Thirty-Five Diplomas and Blue Ribbons for Victories in
    Art Competitions.
